Where do you  draw the line?

Double Chin

SOLUTION

For adults with moderate to severe submental double chin: Are you bothered by extra fullness beneath your chin?

HOW KYBELLA® WORKS

The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. What is Deoxycholic acid?  It is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

BEFORE AND AFTER TREATMENTS WITH KYBELLA

What is submental fullness?

Submental fullness due to submental fat, sometimes referred to as ”double chin,” is a common, facial aesthetic condition.

Submental fullness can impact a broad range of adults, not only people who are overweight. It can impact men or women and can be caused by aging, genetics and or weight gain. It is often resistant to diet and exercise alone.

What is KYBELLA (DEOXYCHOLIC ACID) injection?

KYBELLA (deoxycholic acid) injection, also known as ATX-101, is the only FDA-approved drug that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness due to submental fat.

KYBELLA is indicated for improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe convexity or fullness associated with submental fat in adults.

How does KYBELLA work?

KYBELLA is a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that helps in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.

When injected, KYBELLA causes the destruction of fat cells. Those cells that were destroyed then cannot store or collect fat. Once you have achieved your goal, retreatment with KYBELLA is not expected.

How is KYBELLA administered?

KYBELLA is administered by injections into the fat in the desired area.

Is KYBELLA safe?

KYBELLA is very safe as it has been the focus of a global clinical development program involving over 20 clinical studies with more than 2,600 patients worldwide, of which over 1,600 have been treated with KYBELLA.

Production of KYBELLA is a highly controlled, quality-assured and validated, current Good Manufacturing Practices-compliant process to ensure patient safety.

What are the side effects with KYBELLA?

Side effects may include swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness or formation of small areas of firmness. Care must be taken when injecting KYBELLA to avoid the risk of marginal mandibular nerve injury and dysphagia.
